The Broadway revival of Les Misérables, which opened March 23, 2014, plays its 1,000th performance August 14 at the Imperial Theatre.

The production currently stars John Owen-Jones as Jean Valjean, Hayden Tee as Javert, Alex Fine as Cosette, Brennyn Lark as Eponine and David Rossmer as Thénardier.

It has more than doubled the run of the show's 2006 revival, which closed after 463 performances, but it will not get the chance to match the original 1987 run of 6,680 performances. It is scheduled to close September 4.
