Fans in the New York City area can catch the tour at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center June 9-13, in Newark, NJ.
This is the first New York metro-area visit of the musical since its Broadway run ended May 18, 2003. The engagement opens 7:30 PM June 9.
The Cameron Mackintosh-produced smash, based on the Victor Hugo novel, was written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg.
The engagement features Broadway's final Jean Valjean, Randal Keith, with Stephen Tewksbury as Inspector Javert and Tonya Dixon as Fantine. Also featured are Michael Kostroff and Cindy Benson as the Thénardiers. Brookside, NJ native Nadine Jacobson and Erika Kiyomi Johnson alternate in the roles of Young Cosette and Young Eponine, and Holmdale, NJ native Branden Steinagle and Daniel Wright alternate in the role of Gavroche.
