News   Lezlie Wade, Steven Minning, Joe Langworth and More Set for Theater: A View From the Wings Panel Discussions The Stage Managers' Association chairman Jon Goldman announced that the organization will hold its annual Theater: A View From the Wings, a "look at life from the other side of the curtain," March 5 at Connolly’s Irish Pub in Manhattan.

The conference, sponsored in part by Playbill, will run 10 AM-6 PM and features panel discussions, a networking lunch and cocktails.

"The Stage Managers' Association is thrilled to be a catalyst for bringing different aspects of theatre together to discuss mutual concerns," said board chairman Goldman in a statement.

"The Traveling Stage Manager – Tricks of the Road," a round table discussion about touring specifically geared for stage managers, will kick off Theater: A View From the Wings, running 10:30 AM-11:50 AM.

Following lunch, the event continues with "The Stage Manager and the Associate Director: How do we work together? What works and what doesn’t?" from 1:30 PM-2:50 PM. Lezlie Wade, assistant director of Broadway's upcoming Jesus Christ Superstar; Steven Minning, Broadway and national tours resident director of The Lion King; and Joe Langworth, associate director of Lincoln Center Theater's South Pacific, will share insight about the relationship of the stage manager and associate director.

The final panel, "The Stage Manager and the Crew: In the Trenches Together," will include Tony DePaulo, international vice president of IATSE International; Ken Keneally, property head for The Book of Mormon; Laurie Koch, production prop supervisor of Young Frankenstein, The Producers, Moose Murders and Chapter Two; and Neil Mazzella, president of Hudson Scenic Studio and Hudson Sound and Light. The panel runs from 3 PM-4:20 PM. Theater: A View From the Wings will conclude with cocktails, running through 6 PM. Connolly's Irish Pub is located at 121 West 45th Street.
