News Lillias White, Eugene Fleming, Tamar Davis Among Cast of Otis Sallid's Harlem's Big Otis Jump Up Blues Revue Director-producer-choreographer Otis Sallid, the creator of Broadway's Smokey Joe's Café, will helm the new musical Harlem's Big Otis Jump Up Blues Revue, which will begin performances Aug. 15 at Ginny's Supper Club located in Marcus Samuelsson's popular Red Rooster Harlem.

The cast, under the musical direction of Contrella Patrick-Henry, includes Eugene Fleming (Billy Elliot, Never Gonna Dance, The Look of Love, One Mo' Time), Tony winner Lillias White (Fela!, Hair, Once On This Island, Crowns, Funny Girl, Dreamgirls, The Life), Grammy nominee Tamar Davis, Roz Beauty, Milton Vann and pianist Steven A. Taylor.

Harlem's Big Otis Jump Up Revue, according to press notes, "features the music of Big Joe Turner, Julia Lee, Duke Ellington, Joe Liggins, La Vern Baker and Nellie Lutcher, and is steeped in the tradition of speakeasy shows that became popular during the rise of the Harlem Renaissance, performed in after-hour joints all across the midwest and east coast. Sugar dancing poppas, hip shaking mommas and Saturday night boogie-woogie men, Harlem's Big Otis Jump Up Blues Revue is bound to have you jumping right out of your seat."

Performances will be offered at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM on Aug. 15, 22 and 29.

In addition to Harlem's Big Otis Jump Up Blues Revue, Sallid is currently working on various projects, including The James Brown Project - Get on The Good Foot, premiering at The Apollo Theatre Oct. 24.
