News Lindsay Mendez and Ethan Lipton Added to Broadway Stands Up for Freedom Event Dogfight and Godspell star Lindsay Mendez and writer-performer Ethan Lipton have joined the lineup for the July 23 Broadway Stands Up for Freedom benefit concert.

As previously reported, Seth Rudetsky will host and musical direct the 7:30 PM concert at the Skirball Center that is directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Angels in America playwright Tony Kushner is the evening's honorary chair. Also announced to participate are Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher), Steven Pasquale ("Rescue Me"), Nikki Renée Daniels (Porgy & Bess), Julie Halston (Anything Goes), Darius de Haas (Rent), The Broadway Boys and founding performer Liana Stampur with Clinton Curtis.

All proceeds benefit the NYCLU's youth programming, including work for LGBT teenagers; the Teen Health Initiative, which educates teenagers on their rights to access health care in New York City; and its work to stop overly aggressive policing and military recruiting in the city’s public schools.
