The evening, entitled Live, Laugh, Love… A Broadway Benefit for Dana Lewis, will be held at St. Malachy’s Church in Manhattan. Doors will open at 6:30 PM for the 7 PM performance.
Lending their talents to the evening are Tony Award winner Chita Rivera, Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, George Dvorsky, Tari Kelly, Daniel Reichard, Krysta Rodriguez, Graham Rowat, Christianne Tisdale, Max von Essen and company members from Wicked, Anything Goes, The Addams Family and Mary Poppins.
Kevin Crewell and Jason Daunter will direct the evening with musical direction by Larry Pressgrove.
Dana Lewis, originally from Texas, has danced nationally and internationally with the companies of Singin’ in the Rain and 42nd Street. She has been the principal choreographer for Stages St. Louis for 18 seasons and taught dance at the Conservatory of Theater Arts at Webster University for 11 years. In addition, she has garnered multiple nominations and is the 2006 Recipient of the Kevin Kline Award for Best Choreography.
Dana Lewis is currently undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, TX. This is a groundbreaking alternative gene therapy treatment for many types of cancer. The benefit is to help Lewis offset the costs of this treatment and assist in her fight against this disease.
