News Lockwood and McKnight Will Be Rounding Third at Human Race Jake Lockwood and Brian McKnight will co-star in Richard Dresser’s odd couple baseball comedy Rounding Third at the Human Race Theatre.

Tim Lile will stage the two-hander that will run March 11-28 at the Dayton, OH, theatre. Lockwood (A Tuna Christmas) portrays macho baseball fan Don, with McKnight (Take Me Out) as Canadian assistant coach Michael.

According to press notes, "Two Little League coaches go head to head in what has to be the only baseball play to include Brigadoon, living in a van, and the fine art of equipment bag stuffing. Baseball buff Don, for whom winning is the only thing, is stuck with assistant coach Michael, who wants trophies for everyone, and whose only youth sport was, uh, well, curling. In Canada."

Rounding Third will have scenic design by Tamara L. Honesty, costume design by Laine June Marr and lighting by John Rensel.

Dresser has also penned the book to the world-premiere musical Johnny Baseball, which will play the American Repertory Theater in May.

Tickets are available by phoning (888) 228-3630 or in person at the Schuster Center box office in downtown Dayton, OH. For further information visit HumanRaceTheatre.
