Always, the London musical about the romance between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, will abdicate the Victoria Palace 26 July after a run of just six weeks. Starring Clive Carter, Jan Hartley and Shani Wallis, the musical has music and lyrics by William May and Jason Sprague, and book by William May, Jason Sprague and Frank Hauser.
The show got particularly negative reviews, with the Guardian asking rhetorically "Is this the worst musical ever written?" The show opened 10 June.
