News London Chicago to Welcome Richardson, Ruffelle, Dobson and Baker The London production of Chicago has announced several cast changes.

Kevin Richardson, a member of the internationally acclaimed pop group Backstreet Boys, will make his West End stage debut starring as Billy Flynn in the Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre on Sept. 22. He will play the role, in which he had a great success on Broadway, for a limited run of six weeks.

Frances Ruffelle, Anita Dobson and Paul Baker will star in the musical as Roxie Hart, Mama Morton and Amos Hart, respectively, beginning Sept. 8. Frances Ruffelle created the role of Eponine in Les Misérables, for which she won the Tony Award when it transferred to Broadway. Among her other West End musicals are Starlight Express<>/I> and Children of Eden.

Anita Dobson remains best-known for her television role as Angie Watts in "EastEnders." Her theatre work ranges from the musical Budgie to the Royal Court's The Three Sisters and the National Theatre's harrowing play Frozen.

Paul Baker has starred in many West End musicals including Les Misérables, Carousel, Starlight Express, The Lion King and Taboo, for which he won the 2003 Olivier Award for Outstanding Performance in a Musical. He also guested opposite Anita Louise Coombe in cabaret at Jermyn Street Theatre last month.

Ruthie Henshall has extended her engagement as Velma Kelly until Nov. 1. She played Roxie in the original London production in 1997.
