Clifford Odets' rarely performed play, which premiered in 1950, is revived with an all-star cast. The Country Girl is a classic backstage story. The title character, Georgie, is married to actor Frank Elgin, once a great theatre star, now down on his luck. Frank is offered the chance to make a major comeback, but his drinking threatens to derail things. Can his put-upon wife save the situation, or is she the cause of it?
