Holden Caulfield's little sister in "Catcher in the Rye" is all grown up in Suzanne Bradbeer's world premiere play, Full Bloom, running July 19-Aug. 5 at the Consolati Performing Arts Center. Mary Robinson (Lemon Sky) directs.

While Phoebe Harris is not exactly a Caulfield, she is inspired by J.D. Salinger's character's obsession with his younger sister. In Full Bloom, this teenager on the brink of puberty goes from being an average kid to a special young woman in a very short time, warping her perceptions of beauty and body image. Bradbeer's other writing credits include Will O' the Wisp, Lone Star Grace and Rita Faye Pruitte.

Kelli Giddish stars as Phoebe with Gordana Rashovich (Conversations with my Father, The Crucible) as Crystal, her good-hearted, but beauty obsessed neighbor, Christine Farrell ("Law and Order") as Jane, Gerard O'Brien as Jim and Michael Washington as Jesse.

Tickets are $30-$18. The Consolati Performing Arts Center is located at Mt. Everett Regional High School, Berkshire School Road. For reservations, call (413) 528-8888. The Barrington Stage Company is on the web at http://www.barringtonstageco.org.
