News Matilda Songwriter Tim Minchin Adds Second 54 Below Concert in March Tim Minchin, the Australian comedian and songwriter whose new show Matilda The Musical debuts on Broadway this spring, has added a second concert at 54 Below.

Minchin's first concert on March 2 at 11 PM sold out within a matter of hours, making it one of the fastest-selling shows at the new music venue that opened last June. A second concert has been added for March 1 at 11 PM. Ticket availability is extremely limited.

Minchin, who has earned awards for his work as a comedian internationally, will offer New Yorkers a show that features "his iconic dance moves, wildly teased hair, gently calmed eyebrows, natural aplomb and his enormous… sense of occasion." The evening marks his U.S. cabaret debut. Expect performances at the piano during an evening of "fun, mischief and debauchery."

He is known to U.S. television audiences for playing rock star Atticus Fetch on "Californication." He most recently toured in the U.K. arena production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar and will appear in the Sydney Theatre Company production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead later this year.

Matilda, which earned the 2012 Olivier Award for Best Musical, will premiere on Broadway March 4 at the Shubert Theatre. Click here to read more about the musical based on the beloved Roald Dahl book.

The cover charge ranges $35-$25. 54 Below is located at 254 W. 54th Street. Tickets and additional information are available at 54Below.com.
