News Matt Cavenaugh and Jenny Powers Will Sing for Hartford Children's Theatre; Song List Announced Broadway favorites and real-life couple Matt Cavenaugh (West Side Story) and Jenny Powers (Grease) will perform in concert Oct. 28 at The Marquee in downtown Hartford.

Their evening, which is entitled Direct From Broadway, will benefit Hartford Children’s Theatre. Show time is 6 PM.

Cavenaugh and Powers will perform selections from their new album, “Gonna Make You Love Me,” as well as musical favorites from their theatre careers. The repertoire for the evening follows:

“I Can Cook Too”

On Broadway, Cavenaugh most recently starred as Tony in the 2009 revival of West Side Story, and Powers was last seen on the New York stage as Gina in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Happiness. Powers was also recently seen as Veronica Franco in the new musical Dangerous Beauty, which premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse, and Cavenaugh starred as Gaston in Gigi at Los Angeles' Reprise Theatre Company. The Marquee is located at 960 Main Street in downtown Hartford. Tickets range from $50-$75 and are available for purchase online at www.hartfordchildrenstheatre.org. All tickets include a one-hour open bar and hors d’oeuvres. Red Carpet Level Tickets are $75 and include a pre-show champagne reception with the stars from 5-6 PM, complimentary parking and an autographed copy of “Gonna Make You Love Me.” Patron Level Tickets are $50 and include an open-bar cocktail hour and the performance. All proceeds benefit Hartford Children’s Theatre.
