The New York Times reports that "Reba Duets" — which features McEntire duets with LeAnn Rimes, Ronnie Dunn, Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flats, Trisha Yearwood, Carole King, Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Justin Timberlake and Don Henley — sold 301,000 copies during its first week in release. The mammoth sales of the single CD is a milestone for the singer-actress; it marks the first time one of her recordings has reached the top spot on The Billboard 200. In a statement on her official website, McEntire says, "I am beyond thrilled to have my biggest sales week ever with my 31st album. To get to share it with all my friends on this duets project is icing on the cake!"
Other top sellers on the Billboard 200 included Kanye West's "Graduation," 50 Cent's "Curtis," Barry Manilow's "Greatest Songs of the Seventies," James Blunt's "All the Lost Souls," Chamillionaire's "Ultimate Victory," KT Tunstall's "Drastic Fantastic" and Twista's "Adrenaline Rush."
In related news, McEntire will make a guest appearance at Brian Stokes Mitchell's upcoming Carnegie Hall solo debut concert Oct. 15. Mitchell and McEntire previously shared the Carnegie Hall stage for an acclaimed concert performance of South Pacific.
