New York's Emerging Artists Theatre Company will present the premiere of A Winter Beauty by Bill McMahon at New York's Mint Theatre, March 19-April 10.
Beauty tells the story of Tim, a gay man who learns his ex-lover Wally is HIV positive. Despite a rocky history, Tim mulls over his strong feelings and considers reconciliation.
McMahon is the recipient of the 1997 Paul Green Playwrights Prize for Beauty . Other plays include: Chocolate Morning, Flyboys, and Burning Snow. Nona Lloyd will helm the NY premiere, with a cast including Russ Anderson, Bob Bucci, Tom Dusenbury, Blanche Cholet, Jay Evans and Luis Villabon.
The sets are designed by Warren Karp, costumes by J. Kevin Draves, lights by Annamarie Duggan and sound by David Pinkard.
