Conor McPherson's highly successful new play The Weir has transferred to the main stage of London's famed Royal Court theatre, with a press opening scheduled for Feb. 23.
The play has been hailed by critics as a "touching ghost story" and a "haunting tale of loneliness and loss."
McPherson is the winner of an Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright.
The Weir is directed by the Royal Court's new artistic director, Ian Rickson. The cast includes Brendan Coyle, Jim Norton, Kieran Ahern, Des McAleer and Julia Ford.
Performances are at the Royal Court's temporary quarters at the Duke of York's Theatre. (The theatre's Sloane Square building is currently under renovation.) For tickets, call 011-44-1-71-565-5000.
