News MD's National Players Celebrate Fifty Years of Touring, May 17 The Maryland-based National Players, one of the country's longest-running touring companies, will celebrate its 50th anniversary of touring with a May 17 reunion.

The Maryland-based National Players, one of the country's longest-running touring companies, will celebrate its 50th anniversary of touring with a May 17 reunion. Over the course of fifty years, The Players have performed in forty states and ten foreign countries, logging a total of 6,000 performances across 1,750,000 miles. Not only are The Players seen by a huge amount of people nation-wide, but 70 percent of their alumni are currently working in the industry, recognizable names include: John Heard, Alan Schneider, Lawrence Luckinbill, Daniel Hugh-Kelly, Chris Sarandon and Stan Wojewodski.
