News Measure Up Next for NYC's Expanded Arts, Previews Begin Aug. 11 NYC's Expanded Arts will continue their popular summer series "Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot" with William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, Aug. 11 - 28, with an official opening date set for August 13. The play is free and will be performed in the open air of the municipal parking lot at Broome and Ludlow Streets on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

NYC's Expanded Arts will continue their popular summer series "Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot" with William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, Aug. 11 - 28, with an official opening date set for August 13. The play is free and will be performed in the open air of the municipal parking lot at Broome and Ludlow Streets on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The production will be directed by Jerry McAllister and set in current day Times Square, New York. Measure for Measure takes place in a society where the powers that be decide to suddenly enforce a long forgotten law that puts to death any man who's caught with a woman to whom he's not married.

The cast includes Sharon Becker, Natasha Charles, Peter Duffy, Adriene Erdos, Douglas Fields, Michael Lester, Debbie Jaffe, Jim Kohn, Jack Nasi, Vinnie Penna, Christian Thoth, Alex Webb, Ben White, Christopher Williams, Lee Winston, and Lisa Zambetti.

Past 1999 Parking Lot productions included: Richard III and The Comedy of Errors.
