Bart DeLorenzo stages the production for the New Group that runs through June 1. White is also the playwright of The Other Place and the recent Broadway drama The Snow Geese.
Mullally ("Will & Grace," Young Frankenstein, How to Succeed...) and Offerman ("Parks and Recreation") also starred in a Los Angeles run of Annapurna at the Odyssey Theatre last spring. White's play had its world premiere at San Francisco's Magic Theatre in 2011.
Here's how it's billed: "Twenty years ago, Emma (Mullally) walked out on her husband, cowboy-poet Ulysses (Offerman), in the middle of the night. Now hearing he's in dire straits, she tracks him down in the wilds of Colorado in a grungy trailer, working on his magnum opus, hooked to an oxygen tank, and cooking in the buff. Their reunion, charged by rage and compassion, brings back the worst and best of their former bond."
The production has scenic design by Thomas A. Walsh, costume design by Ann Closs-Farley, lighting design by Michael Gend and sound design by John Ballinger.
