News Melissa Errico Returns to the Lair of Dracula Oct. 14 Melissa Errico, who created the comely and virginal Mina Murray in the new Broadway production of Dracula, returns to the role Oct. 14 after resting her voice since Sept. 7 due to vocal cord strain.

Understudy Elizabeth Loyacano has been playing Mina in Errico's absence at the Belasco Theatre. For her first week back, Errico is scheduled to perform Oct. 14, Oct. 15, the matinee Oct. 16 and the matinee Oct. 17. She will sit out Saturday night's show.

Errico's Broadway credits include Amour, High Society and the Richard Chamberlin production of My Fair Lady.

The role of Mina, as written by composer Frank Wildhorn and lyricists Don Black and Christopher Hampton, asks Errico to belt pop-worthy tunes and trill legit-sounding ballads.

Dracula is directed by Des McAnuff and stars Tom Hewitt as the Eastern European vampire count.
