Michals joins the previously announced Dee Hoty, Matt Bogart and Tony Award winners Donna McKechnie and Sutton Foster for a series of concerts Jan. 28-Feb. 1 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The five Broadway actors will appear with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops for four performances featuring songs from some of Broadway's most famous musicals. The concerts — Jan. 28 and 30 at 8 PM, Jan. 31 at 2 PM and Feb. 1 at 3 PM — will also boast the Pops' professional chorus, The Voices of the Pops.

William Michals portrayed the Beast in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. His other theatrical credits include roles in Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Music Man, Man of La Mancha, Chicago, The Sound of Music and Camelot. Michals also sang "Let There Be Peace on Earth" at the official ceremonies on Dec. 11, 2001, at Ground Zero in New York City.

The Broadway Showstoppers concerts will be held in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Tickets, priced $19-$82, are available by calling (215) 893-1999. For more information, visit www.phillypops.com.
