Molaskey and Pizzarelli will be on the West Coast celebrating the new release of "Sitting in Limbo" with performances at Catalina Bar & Grill July 25-29.
Molaskey's latest recording from PS Classics finds the singer/actress commanding an eclectic mix of musical styles with such songs as "Summer, Highland Falls," "Walkin' After Midnight" and "There Will Never Be Another You." She also duets with husband, acclaimed jazz musician John Pizzarelli, on "I Want to Be Happy/Sometimes I'm Happy" and "The Circle Game/The Waters of March." "Sitting in Limbo" not only features Pizzarelli's vocals, but he also lends his skilled guitar work and a few original tunes co-written with Molaskey.
Jessica Molaskey has performed on Broadway in the original productions of Parade, A Man of No Importance, Dream, Tommy, City of Angels, as well as Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World Off-Broadway. No stranger to the worlds of cabaret and jazz, Molaskey earned raves for her sold-out run at New York's Algonquin Hotel and is the recipient of the 2007 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist.
The 6 PM signing will take place at the Barnes & Noble at 189 Grove Dr. (at Farmers Market) in Los Angeles on July 26.
