News Morillo's All Aboard the Marriage Hearse to Get New York Run in January 2008 Matt Morillo — playwright of Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans With High Class Issues — will see his latest work, All Aboard the Marriage Hearse, presented by the Theater for the New City from Jan. 3-27, 2008.

Nicholas J. Coleman and Jessica Durdock, both original cast members of Angry Young Women, star as Sean and Amy – the couple at the center of Morillo's latest comedy. Coleman and Durdock are also part of KADM, a production company founded around the stage and film works of Morillo.

According to press notes, "Sean and Amy are your typical co-habitating, Catholic/Jewish, twentysomething couple living in Manhattan. They work hard, love each other and share common goals in life. Well, sort of. After nearly three years together, Amy wants to get married but Sean does not believe in the institution. Tonight is the night when they will settle the marriage question once and for all. They will both bring their "A" game and the gloves will come off. Sean will try to talk her out of it. Amy will try to talk him into it. Will they break up? Will they keep going on the path they're on? Will they climb aboard the 'Marriage Hearse'?"

The Theatre for the New City debut of Marriage Hearse is also a homecoming of sorts, as Morillo's first stage venture, Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans With High Class Issues, was produced there prior to making a commercial Off-Broadway transfer.

Morillo directs his new work with set design by Mark Marcante and lighting design by Amith A. Chandrashaker.

Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans With High Class Issues, a sketch-comedy-like series of scenes and monologues, premiered at the Duo Theater in 2006. The work was revived by Theater for the New City for a limited run in January 2007 and finally made an Off-Broadway transfer to the Players Theatre in July 2007, where it ran for 51 performances. The production was most recently staged in Sydney, Australia. All Aboard the Marriage Hearse plays the Theater for the New City, located at 155 First Avenue in Manhattan.
