Do you represent the Lollipop Guild? If you're a boy or girl, ages 8-14, or a male or female that measures under 4'10," you could, indeed. It's a chance to walk on in one of three special performances of The Wizard of Oz at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Beginning at 10 AM, open auditions will be held April 7 at The Theater. Members of the production team will judge participants on their animation, engergy and ability to dance and sing the chorus "Ding, Dong! The Witch is Dead." Unique "Munchkin-like" qualities will be considered.

Six auditioners will be chosen. Height measurements will be taken upon arrival. To make a reservation, call the Munchkin hotline at (212) 465 6773.

The Wizard of Oz begins its next New York stay May 6, running through May 16 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Mickey Rooney returns as the Wizard with Liliane Montevecchi as the Wicked Witch of the West, Jessica Grove as Dorothy, Frances Ruivivar as the Cowardly Lion and Dirk Lumbard as the Tin Man.
