Yorkey, who penned book and lyrics for Next to Normal, stages the reading of the musical that was initially developed at the Village Theatre in Issaquah, WA. Yorkey previously served as associate artistic director for the Village and most recently staged its production of Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers.

Stunt Girl has a score by David Friedman ("Listen to My Heart," "Help Is On the Way") and book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg (Anna Karenina). The musical originated as part of the Village Theatre's Festival of New Musicals in 2005 and 2006 and received a full production there in 2009.

Davi (The Drowsy Chaperone) is cast as Nellie Bly with Next to Normal's Hobson as Arthur Brisbane opposite Lowrie as Joseph Pulitzer. Lowrie performed the role in the 2009 production, while Hobson participated in 2005 readings. R.J. Tancioco serves as music director.

The Village Theatre is where Yorkey originally developed his Tony-winning musical Next to Normal with composer Tom Kitt, under the working title Feeling Electric.
