Now in its fourth year, the "Brand: NEW" will feature readings of the latest plays by David Grimm, John Kolvenbach, Anthony Giardina and Shinho Lee. The readings are free to the public with a suggested donation of $5. The event is sponsored by Christopher and Janet Larsen and the Larsen Fund with additional support from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Raymond, who has played Scrooge in the Hartford Stage production of A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas, will head up a cast including Tom Mardirosian (HBO's "OZ") and Jeffrey Carlson (The Goat, or Who is Sylvia, Tartuffe) in Grimm's Once In Elysium. Former Hartford Stage associate artistic director Tracy Brigden directs the adult drama which explores art, religion, sex and class.

Pintauro stars in Kolvenbach's comedy, Gizmo Love. Hartford Stage artistic associate Shelley Butler directs the work about a screenwriter who has been assigned to edit a masterpiece by a young writer.

Giardina's Lightly Built Bridges will feature Murray and Jefferies under the direction of Doug Hughes (Edgardo Mine). In the play, a mother manipulates a priest to the point of his questioning his faith and responsibility.

Actress Ming-Na, of "The Joy Luck Club" fame, will star in the cast of Lee's Dream of No Words. Victor Maog will direct the work about the last Korean princess, who is kidnapped by the Japanese emperor. Also featured is Golden Child castmate Julyana Soelistyo. "Brand:NEW" readings will be held at Hartford Stage’s Rehearsal Studios, 942 Main Street (The Richardson Building/Marriott Residence Inn) in Hartford, CT.
