News Naked Boys Singing! to Play L.A.'s Macha Theatre; Casting Announced The musical comedy revue Naked Boys Singing! will play a limited engagement at the Macha Theatre in West Hollywood beginning Sept. 17.

Produced by Macha Theatre/Films-Odalys Nanin and TANK Productions, Naked Boys will run through Nov. 22. Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 25.

The cast will comprise Eric B. Anthony, Jack Harding, Timothy Hearl, Marco Infante, Jeffrey A. Johns, Tony Melson, Daniel Rivera and Victor Tang.

The 70-minute, intermissionless show was conceived and directed by Robert Schrock with choreography by Jeffrey Denman. The musical revue opened in July 1999 at the Actors' Playhouse. It currently plays New World Stages in New York.

Naked Boys Singing!'s score includes such numbers as "Fight the Urge," "The Bliss of a Bris," "Muscle Addiction," "Nothing But the Radio On," "Members Only" and "Window to Window." The show's contributing writers are Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Schrock, Mark Winkler and Bruce Vilanch.

The creative team for the L.A. run will also feature choreographer Mic Thompson, set and lighting designer Carey Dunn (who also serves as stage manager), costume designer Byron Batista and musical director Gerald Sternbach. Show times are Thursday-Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 7 PM.
