News Neil Patrick Harris Set for "The Daily Show" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Appearances Stage and screen actor Neil Patrick Harris will make TV appearances on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" July 25 and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" July 27.

Harris is scheduled to talk about his new movie, "The Smurfs," which arrives in movie theatres July 29. The Sony Pictures live action/animated hybrid feature film is based on the popular cartoon series of the same name. "When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the Smurfs out of their village, they're forced through a portal, out of their world and into ours, landing in the middle of New York's Central Park," according to Sony. "Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down."

Harris, who most recently hosted the 2011 Tony Awards, has been seen on Broadway in Assassins, Proof and Cabaret. He also starred in the New York Philharmonic production of Company. The performer is the winner of two 2010 Emmy Awards and was nominated for his work on the CBS series "How I Met Your Mother."

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" airs at 11 PM ET on Comedy Central, and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" airs at 12:35 AM ET on NBC.
