Directed by Simpkins with choreography by M. K. Lawson and music direction by Caleb Hoyer, performances continue through July 28.

The production stars Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia!, Coram Boy) as Vernon and Lauren Marcus (TriArts' HeartThrobs) as Sonia with Phil Colgan, Garrett Hill, Jane Kivnick, Emily Neuberger, Jake Satterfield and Kaylee Verble.

They're Playing Our Song, featuring a book by Simon, music by Hamlisch and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, "revolves around the working and personal relationship between a neurotic, funny composer and a quirky lyricist," according to press notes. "The musical was inspired by the romantic relationship between Hamlisch and lyricist Carole Bayer Sager."

The design team includes Erik Diaz (sets), Michelle Humphrey (costumes), Chris Dallos (lights), Brad Berridge (sound) and Thomas J. Coppola (production stage manager).
