News Nesbitt to Join Off-Broadway's Altar Boyz in August Off-Broadway's Altar Boyz will welcome a new member to its band Aug. 1.

Travis Nesbitt will assume the role of Mark, currently portrayed by Ryan Ratliff. Prior to Altar Boyz, Nesbitt was seen in the first national tour of The Producers as well as in regional productions of Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar, Peter Pan and Big River.

The current cast of Altar Boyz features Michael Kadin Craig, Neil Haskell ("So You Think You Can Dance"), Mauricio Perez and Ryan Strand.

Nesbitt and his fellow Altar Boyz will perform July 31 as part of "Broadway in Bryant Park" at 12:30 PM.

A 2005 Outer Critics Circle winner, Altar Boyz is directed by Stafford Arima with choreography by Christopher Gattelli. Music and lyrics are by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.

In addition to the successful Off-Broadway production, Altar Boyz is currently on a second national tour and has premiered productions in South Korea, Hungary, Brazil, Sweden, Finland, Australia and Japan.
