A host of Broadway shows are participating in the ticket offer, which is available for performances from Jan. 24-Feb.10. The event coincides with "Kid's Night on Broadway" (a similar two-for-one offer for children 6-18 and an accompanying adult), which runs Feb. 6-10.

Participating "Broadway Week" shows follow:

The Addams Family – A New Musical
American Idiot
Billy Elliot The Musical
Chicago The Musical
Colin Quinn Long Story Short
Driving Miss Daisy
Good People
The Importance of Being Ernest
Jersey Boys
La Cage Aux Folles
The Lion King

“Broadway brings more money into New York than all of our sports teams put together. Who can resist a half-price sale? Hopefully not New Yorkers or visitors to New York! If you haven't seen a Broadway show, you haven't seen New York," said La Cage aux Folles and Hairspray Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein in a statement.

Tickets for "Broadway Week" are currently available by visiting NYCGO.com/GetMoreNYC/Broadway.
