News Nicki Genovese Named Public Theater General Manager Nicki Genovese has been named general manager of the Public Theater. She will take over part-time beginning in December and full-time on Jan. 2, 2007.

Genovese was most recently the general manager for South Coast Repertory, which she joined in 1999. Before SCR, she was the general manager for two years at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the theatre in residence at DeSales University in Allentown, PA. Genovese has also managed productions and companies on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. She received an MFA in theatre management from Columbia University.

Currently running at the Public Theater are Wrecks, written by Neil LaBute and starring Ed Harris; Durango, written by Julia Cho; and Emergence-See!, written and performed by Daniel Beaty.

The Public is led by the artistic director Oskar Eustis and the executive director Mara Manus. It is located at 425 Lafayette Street.
