The 8 PM evening, according to the Hall's official website, will be hosted by Gloria Hunniford and will benefit the Caron Keating Foundation, which helps individuals and families affected by cancer. David Firman will conduct the orchestra; Hugh Wooldrige directs. Among those scheduled to perform include Michael Ball, Len Cariou, Brad Little, Patricia Nesby, Teri Bibb, Yngve Gasoy Romdal, Kelli James, David Michael Johnson, Laura Michelle Kelly, Tiffany Graves, Annette McLaughlin and Jill Paice. The evening will include a tribute to the late Cy Coleman as well as a celebration of Stephen Sondheim's 75th birthday. Concertgoers can expect to hear such songs as "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd," "Being Alive," "Sunday," "You’ll Never Walk Alone," "The Tonight Quintet," "Do You Hear The People Sing?," "It Ain't Necessarily So," "Anthem," "Sail On - Titanic" and "The Circle of Life."
In a statement director Wooldridge said, "This evening is a must for all who love musicals. Come along and hear the best performers in the world performing some of the greatest songs. Come and join in the fun; come and raise the roof of the Royal Albert Hall; come and raise funds for The Caron Keating Foundation."
