In conjunction with their production of Moises Kaufman's Gross Indecency, Houston's Alley Theatre will present Corin Redgrave in his solo performance about Oscar Wilde, De Profundis on April 26 only. Redgrave currently stars in Not About Nightingales on Broadway.
De Profundis adapts Wilde's letter of reproach to his young lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, letters written while Wilde was incarcerated for his homosexuality.
Redgrave first appeared in Profundus at London's Chelsea Centre in Dec. 1997 and performed it at the Alley while Not About Nightingales was making its U.S. premiere there, in June 1998.
Tickets for the production are free to the public, with donations benefitting the Museum of Printing History. For required reservations, call (713) 228-8421.
