Tina Landau will direct the new work slated to open Feb. 2 at the company's Stage II, for a run through March 6.

Rag and Bone is the story of "two brothers mourning the death of their mother [who] struggle to make ends meet with the family ladder store," according to show materials. "While unwitting Jeff builds a ladder to Heaven, George uses the store as a front for the Black Market sale of human hearts — harvested from unsuspecting innocents and transplanted into the highest bidder."

The cast also includes Carolyn Baeumler (Big Love - BAM), David Sims Bishins (The Boys in the Band), Ian Brennan (The Distance from Here), Tom Riis Farrell (Dirty Blonde), Justin Hagen (Saved, How I Learned to Drive) and original Smokey Joe’s Café cast member Frederick Owens (Man of La Mancha).

Golden is known for her Broadway turns in The Full Monty, On the Town, Leader of the Pack and Ah! Wilderness. Other credits include Assassins, (original Off-Broadway cast), Little Shop of Horrors, People Be Heard, Almost Heaven (Denver Center Theatre Company) and Mimi Le Duck (NYC Fringe Festival).

Director Landau, currently at work on Of Thee I Sing at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse, is the writer and director of Theatrical Essays (Steppenwolf), Beauty (La Jolla Playhouse), Space (NYSF/Public), Floyd Collins (Playwrights Horizons) and Dream True (Vineyard). The Steppenwolf Theater ensemble member has also staged the 2001 Broadway revival of Bells Are Ringing and is slated to direct The Cherry Orchard at Steppenwolf and Kirsten Child's new musical The Miracle Brothers at the Vineyard Theatre The design team for Rag and Bone includes G. W. Mercier (set), Candice Donnelly (costumes), Scott Zielinski (lighting) and John Gromada (sound). Lori Lundquist serves as production stage manager.

Haidle was a Lila Acheson Wallace playwright-in-residence at The Juilliard School in New York City and graduated from Princeton University in the spring of 2001. His Kitty Kitty Kitty played at the recent inaugural Summer Play Festival in New York City and his Mr. Marmalade, which premiered at South Coast Repertory Theatre, is slated for the Roundabout Theatre's 2005-2006 season, as directed by Michael Mayer.

Julia Cho's B.F.E. and Lonnie Carter's The Romance of Magno Rubio complete the trio of new works to be presented at Long Wharf's New American Voices Festival. The Carter work, directed by Loy Arcenas, will play a March 16-April 3 run. The Cho work will be staged by artistic director Gordon Edelstein, April 13-May 1.
