NY Musical Theatre Fest NYMF Alumni and Choreographers Combine for Common Grounds, Sept. 20-28 A collection of up-and-coming choreographers will team up with writers from past New York Musical Theatre Festival productions to present Common Grounds, a world premiere dance-theatre work.

Performances will take place Sept. 20-28 at 37 Arts Theatre, 450 West 37th Street.

Press materials describe the show as follows: “Collisions in the daily grind…Eight mllion people. Eight million coffee shops. And eight million stories. An innovative dance musical set in a midtown coffee shop that will explore how, in the most mundane of places, we can intersect with, ricochet off and greatly impact each others lives.”

The featured choreographers are Rap Leeper, Ron De Jesus (Movin’ Out), Jeff Shade and Lisa Stevens (Bingo!). The creative team also includes Doug Katsaros (Composer), Sammy Buck (Writer), Igor Goldin (Director), and Ken Lapham (Lighting Designer).

The ensemble cast includes Kevin Aubin (Pavel, Kurt Froman (Justin), Karla Puno Garcia (Nancy), Bob Gaynor (Ned), Gina Ianni (Margaret), Rhonda Kaufman (Emma), Michael Keefe (Ryan), Jason Luks (Supervisor), Kaitana Magno (Sonja), Mayumi Miguel (Miranda), Jordan Spencer (Gordon) and Stephen Williams (Louis).
