News NYMF's Date of a Lifetime to Feature Farah Alvin and Jamie LaVerdiere Farah Alvin and Jamie LaVerdiere will share the Date of a Lifetime this October as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Robert Baumgartner, Jr. (Adam Lives, The Hole) composed the score to Date of a Lifetime, which has a book and lyrics by Carl Kissin (Alone World).

Jeremy Dobrish directs the two-hander that features Alvin (Nine, The Look of Love, Saturday Night Fever) and LaVerdiere (The Producers, The Pirate Queen, Urinetown). Wendy Seyb will choreograph.

Here's how the writers describe the musical: "During their limited time together on a speed date, Marvin hypothesizes what his entire life with Katie might be like – from present day through death. Then it’s her turn. Will this awkward first encounter be another 'looking for love' horror story replete with requisite nametags and whistles - or might it be the date of a lifetime?"

Date of a Lifetime will have scenic and prop design by Susan Barras, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by G. Alan Busch. Liz Ulmer produces the run, which will be stage managed by Andrea Jo Martin.

Performances will take place Oct. 3-16 at the McGinn/Cazale Theater, which is located at 2162 Broadway. For further information visit NYMF.
