The production will end its limited engagement July 14 as planned; however, following a one-week hiatus, performances will resume July 23. Tickets are currently on sale through Aug. 25.

As previously reported, a cast recording will be released by Jay Records at a date to be announced.

The cast features Jenn Colella (Urban Cowboy, High Fidelity), George Dvorsky (The Scarlet Pimpernel), 2011 Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime, Jekyll & Hyde) and Sal Viviano (The Full Monty).

Directed by Maltby with music direction by Andrew Gerle, Closer Than Ever, according to the York, is described as an "intimate musical about love, friendship, security, happiness — and holding onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions at once." Show times are Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Friday 8 PM and Saturday at 2:30 PM and 8 PM.

The original Off-Broadway cast recording is available from RCA Victor.

Tickets are priced at $67.50 and are available online at yorktheatre.org, by calling (212) 935-5820, or in person at the box office at the York Theatre at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
