The nominations will be revealed at 8 PM at the Off Off-Broadway venue Our Lady of Pompeii. The event commences with cocktails and music at 7 PM. The 2008 nominations, including 127 individual artists and 47 productions, have been culled from the work of over 3,000 artists. The 2008 IT Awards will be presented Sept. 22 at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The annual event not only awards innovative works from Off Off-Broadway, but also seeks to raise awareness of the Off Off- Broadway scene and its cultural contributions.
007 winners include the Gallery Players' presentation of Urinetown; Ten Directions' Bouffon Glass Menajoree; Dancing Vs the Rat Experiment; and Mike Houston, for The Ledge.
