News Opening Night of Beechman Theatre's Sondheim Unplugged Series Will Now Play Don't Tell Mama The July 5 opening performance of Sondheim Unplugged, the Laurie Beechman Theatre's concert tribute to Stephen Sondheim, will take place at Don't Tell Mama, instead of the Beechman as was previously announced.

The performance will begin at 7 PM. Other scheduled performances of the series are still set to take place July 12, 19 and 26 at 7 PM at the Beechman.

Sondheim Unplugged, according to press notes, "celebrates the work of Broadway's most beloved and prolific composer, accompanied by piano only." Phil Geoffrey Bond will host the series with musical direction provided by Tracey Stark.

Original cast members of various Sondheim musicals will make guest appearances at each performance. They include Sarah Rice (Johanna in Sweeney Todd) July 5, Danielle Ferland (Louise in Sunday in the Park…, Little Red in Into the Woods) July 12, Pamela Myers (Marta in Company) July 19, and Annie Golden (Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme in Assassins) July 26.

Also scheduled to join the guest-star performers are Carey Anderson, Lisa Asher, Christina Bianco, David Brian Colbert, Harris Doran, Natalie Douglas, Michelle Dowdy, Barbara Fasano, Terese Genecco, Eric Michael Gillett, Larry Hamilton, Joe Iconis, David Gurland, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Trent Armand Kendall, Audrey Lavine, Lorinda Lisitza, Karen Mack, Rob Maitner, Cindy Marchionda, Liz McCartney, Susie Mosher, Mark Nadler, Karen Oberlin, Miles Phillips, Shaynee Rainbolt, Leenya Rideout, Jana Robbins, Becca Johnson Southworth, Trevor Southworth, Elizabeth Stanley, Katie Thompson, Will Trice, Jonathan Whitton and Lennie Watts.
