In Collier's play, the girls' mission to dig a hole to China ultimately fails but sets them on an entirely new adventure. According to press notes, "not paying attention in geography class can take you in a different direction, and when a Tokyo businessman crawls out of the earth, the girls get a glimpse of an exotic world way beyond the town’s borders. This irreverent, mythic and magical play explores the isolation and terror the Australian landscape provokes with its strange inhabitants and dangerous beasts."
The production features scenic designer by Gabe Evansohn, lighting design by Burke Brown costume design by Moria Clinton, sound design by Elisheba Ittoop and Becca Pickett as stage manager.
