News Ordway Lines Up August, South Pacific and Little House for 2009-2010 The national tours of August: Osage County, South Pacific and Little House on the Prairie are on the 2009-2010 slate for the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The musical adaptation of The Little House on the Prairie, starring Melissa Gilbert, will launch the season Oct. 13-25. The musical, which received its world premiere at the Guthrie last year, has a score by Rachel Portman, book by Rachel Sheinkin, lyrics by Donna di Novelli and is directed by Francesca Zambello.

The Ordway's resident production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast will fill the holiday slot, playing Dec. 15-Jan. 3, 2010. Casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.

The national tour of August: Osage County, starring Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, will arrive March 16 and run through March 21, 2010. Tracy Letts penned the gripping family drama that earned the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The final theatrical work will be the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific. The Tony-winning revival of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, staged by Bartlett Sher, will run May 4-16, 2010.

Also on the bill for the Ordway are Rasta Thomas' Bad Boys of Dance (Oct. 30), musician Yasmin Levy (Nov. 1), Dance Brazil (Feb. 19, 2010), Nnenna Freelon and Harolyn Blackwell in Dreaming the Duke (Feb. 21, 2010), Japan's Shidara (Feb. 24, 2010), dance-theatre Diavolo (March 25, 2010) and the Midwest premiere of Taye Diggs and Andrew Palermo's dre.dance company in Beyond Worlds (May 20, 2010).
