News Original Sunset Boulevard Star Makes Birdland Debut Nov. 7 Daniel Benzali, the stage and screen actor who created the role of Max in the original London production of Sunset Boulevard, will make his Birdland debut Nov. 7.

Benzali, whose TV credits include "NYPD Blue," "Murder One" and "L.A. Law," has titled his upcoming show Daniel Benzali Sings Broadway Standards. Show time is 7 PM. Benzali will offer tunes from his debut solo recording, which is simply titled "Daniel Benzali." Song titles include "I've Got You Under My Skin," "My Funny Valentine," "Pretty Women," "This Nearly Was Mine," "Soon It's Gonna Rain," "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," "Where Is Love?," "My Romance," "Anyone Can Whistle," "'Round Midnight," "My Foolish Heart" and "Blue Skies." The disc can be purchased by visiting the actor's official website at www.danielbenzali.com.

The Brazilian-born Daniel Benzali received a Golden Globe nomination for his work in TV's "Murder One." He has appeared in the films "Murder at 1600" with Wesley Snipes, Wim Wenders' "End of Violence" with Gabriel Byrne, and "All the Little Animals" with John Hurt. On the London stage, he starred as Juan Peron in Evita, Max in Sunset Boulevard, and is one of the few American actors to join England's Royal Shakespeare Company.
