Classic Arts News Osiris Trio Names New Violinist Violinist Vesko Eschkenazy has joined the Netherlands' Osiris Trio.
Eschkenazy, who has been concertmaster of the Royal Concertebouw Orchestra since 2000, succeeds Peter Brunt.

A graduate of the Bulgarian National Conservatory and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Eschkenazy has played as soloist with many orchestras and such renowned conductors as Riccardo Chailly, Colin Davis, Bernard Haitink, and Kurt Masur.

The trio, founded in 1988, features Ellen Corver on piano and Larissa Groeneveld on cello. It will tour England in October 2005 and the United States, with performances in Washington, Hawaii, and Michigan, in November 2005.

Eschkenazy will miss several concerts in the 2005-06 season, due to previous engagements; he will be replaced by Brunt, or by Vera Beths.
