Giovanna Sardelli directs the work that begins July 14 and opens Aug. 4 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre for a run through Aug. 17. The first Uptown show — Carly Mensch's Len, Asleep in Vinyl — currently plays there through June 22. "When a world renowned origami artist opens her studio to a teenage prodigy and his school teacher," as show notes reveal, "she finds that life and love can't be neatly arranged in this drama about finding the perfect fold."

The cast features Ambudkar (Rafta Rafta, The Me Nobody Knows), Overbey (Good Boys and True, The Coast of Utopia) and Shamos (Reckless, The Rivals).

The design team includes Beowulf Boritt (scenic), Amy Clark (costume), Josh Bradford (lighting) and Bart Fasbender (sound).

Joseph — an Uptown Series vet of last year's All This Intimacy — penned Animals Out of Paper as part of the Second Stage's Time Warner Commissioning Program.

This marks the company's sixth Uptown Series. Previous playwrights presented include Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Adam Bock and Brooke Berman.

Tickets to both plays at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre (on Broadway at 76th Street) are available by calling (212) 246-4422 or online at 2ST.com.
