The three one-act plays — penned and directed by three members of the theatre company — will be offered Dec. 15-17 at Theatre 3. Those works include Keith Russell's The Perfect Place, Jonathan Greig's 2 Train and Fern Schlesinger's A Sister's Hope. Show times are Dec. 15 and 16 at 8 PM and Dec. 17 at 3 PM. Russell's The Perfect Place will feature the talents of Paul Rudd, Alysia Reiner, Taro Alexander, Donny Sethi and Edward Mawere. The play, according to press notes, tells the story of "a teenager who stutters (Rudd) finally sticking up for himself after years of getting picked on. He imagines a perfect place where he and his best friend (Reiner) can live in peace without all the violence and negativity of our current world."
Richard Kind, Ned Eisenberg, Sandy Chaplin and Everett Bradley comprise the cast of Greig's 2 Train, which is the story of "The Mayor of New York (Kind) riding the 2 train during morning rush hour and things not going as they should."
Schlesinger's A Sister's Hope is described as a "sweet and magical story of a teenage girl believing in hope and magic to save her dying brother." The cast will include Emily Whyte, Chelsea Lacatena, Noah Cornman and David Nachman.
The three one-act plays have a total running time of two hours.
