Pettiford has titled her new show Thankful and will play the intimate cabaret Nov. 14-15 at 9 PM. Written and directed by David Galligan, the evenings will feature a mix of jazz, musical theatre tunes and standards. The singing actress will be accompanied by a band led by musical director Ron Abel.
In Valarie Pettiford — Thankful, the performer, according to press notes, "gives you the reasons why she is thankful, as she puts her thoughts to music."
Pettiford has also been seen on Broadway in A Broadway Musical, Sophisticated Ladies, Grind and Big Deal.
