Based on the play Breath of Spring, 70, Girls, 70 is a unique musical comedy that pits self-proclaimed “old folks” in the middle of an elaborate heist. Originally produced on Broadway in 1971, the musical only made it through one month of shows after its official opening night. At left, Anita Gillette and director Kathleen Marshall (The Pajama Game), as well as Encores! artistic director Jack Viertel and John Kander are seen after the show’s weekend-long run. Below, Bob Dishy and Charlotte Rae are seen at the closing party for 70, Girls, 70 at the City Center Mezzanine Lobby on West 55th Street in New York City.
