The American premiere of the new Sam Shepard piece is directed by Jimmy Fay and features Stephen Rea (Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, "The Crying Game") and Sean McGinley reprising their roles from the March 2009 world premiere at Ireland's Abbey Theatre.
Ages of the Moon centers on "Byron (McGinley) and Ames (Rea) [who] are old friends re-united by mutual desperation," according to press materials. "Over bourbon on ice, they sit, reflect and bicker until fifty years of love, friendship and rivalry are put to the test at the barrel of a gun."
