News   PHOTO CALL: ASCAP Honors Composers Strouse And Lippa Dec.9 With Kuhn, Gets & Murney The American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) honored Annie composer Charles Strouse (second from the right) with the Richard Rodgers Award Dec. 9. Past recipients of the award include Jule Styne, Burton Lane, Irving Caesar, Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Jerry Herman. Given the New Horizons Award, Andrew Lippa (third from the right) is the composer of the upcoming The Wild Party, set to make its spring bow at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

Singing their material were (left to right) Malcolm Gets, Julia Murney and Judy Kuhn. As part of the awards ceremony, Kuhn performed Strouse's "Once Upon a Time" from All American with Gets on "Home," from The Night They Raided Minsky's. Murney performed Lippa's "Raise the Roof," from The Wild Party.
